Our Mission and Values

Est. 2018

When a group of trail running buddies decided to host a race in their favorite local mountains, they knew it would have to be as unique as it is challenging. And from our first official 'scouting visit' right up until the securing our final sponsor, the process has exceeded all our expectations! Our objectives have been clear from the start:

  1. Promote healthy relationships within the community and with nature.

  2. Offer a top-notch event that would attract both elites & beginners alike.

  3. Reward participants with tremendous organization, unparalleled scenery, and an unforgettable adventure!

**THE INAUGURAL YEAR, 2018, BROUGHT WITH IT A LION'S SHARE OF REWARDS AND CHALLENGES!!

Our board of Race Directors has spent countless hours evaluating, accepting much-appreciated feedback from runners and volunteers alike And in spite of the overall success, we felt after year #1, we feel that we have come up with some changes that will absolutely KNOCK YOUR RUNNING SOCKS OFF!! From updated course markers to age-group awards to tweaks on the course itself, we have worked hard to improve the experience in a myriad of ways. Both veteran and novice PUTS participants should expect an experience that will leave them awestruck, sore, and relieved once they complete the updated "PUTS 2.0" ... Which we believe to be one of the most difficult and spectacularly beautiful courses in the USA!
